I am a neuromuscular clinician-scientist and currently head the neuromuscular service in Hadassah Ein Kerem. This service includes clinical diagnostic evaluation of problems involving peripheral nerves, disorders of the neuromuscular junction (such as myasthenia gravis) and muscle diseases. I established and also head the dedicated Hadassah ALS multi-disciplinary clinic .I am also in charge of the peripheral electrophysiology service and personally perform electromyography (EMG) tests and nerve conduction studies.
In addition, I am deeply involved in research, primarily focusing on the causes of ALS and the development of novel therapies.
