Prof. Orly Elpeleg is the Director of Genetics at Hadassah. Her main expertise is the identification of the cause of genetic diseases. This is done by exome analysis and genetic chip, both performed on DNA which is extracted from 5 ml of blood. Once the diagnosis is established, the family can be counseled in person or via skype
